This is one bizarre coin that I have seen with a dealer some time ago, (sorry no pics as there was no way I could have afford it) back in the ANDA coin fair which was held in Sydney. I can't remember which dealer had it, but that was one unusual error, as I would never thought how a 10 cent planhet be used to strike a dollar coin.
Well yes, it is not suprising that the diameter of the 10 cent and the dollar coin isn't too much of a difference, but thickness and color? I am sure that is pretty hard to miss, but alas, human error has create such unusual modern error...
Did anyone happen to come across the same coin that I have seen, or I must be daydreaming?
thesandpit, would you happen to remember the price of the 1984 dollar coin on 10 cents if it was for sale? I really did regret purchasing that unusual error and up to now still remember how it looks like.
