This is my favorite:

Lots of rules and regulations to shop with this firm, only tells me that they sell questionable or bogus products, since draconian rules indicate that they have had liability issues. The previous quote about buying the coin and not the holder is 100% accurate. While I have no quibble with major TPG slabs, these SGS holders are pieces of garbage. Scary how many unenlightened buyers will shell out good money for junk or altered coins presented in pretty packaging. If it is old and "MS70" it must be worth a fortune. It is a shame how many shysters are out there selling coins to an unwary public.

I usually buy a couple SGS coins a week off the local bid board for melt value. No one will bid on them at all for some reason. I got a bunch of Franklin halves proof and MS for $6.50 a piece. Most were MS63/64 and the two proofs I graded at 64 also. Of course they were all graded 70 by SGS. I just bust them out of the plastic and put them in 2x2's. I've even taken some of them back to the bid board and sold them for $10. Someone elses lack of knowledge and research is my gain.

Yep, been there got the t-shirt. When I first started collecting coins I got a "good deal" on e-bay for a "PF 70" mint set from these jokers. Every coin was BS and each looked like re-fried death in their slabs. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.

yeah, it seems everything (heck even my pocket change) would grade out as MS70 with some of these lower level slabbers. If your buying slabbed coins, always stick to the well-known and reputable TPG and also judge the coin for yourself.
