I am looking for a coin (gold) that would depict a "Christopher." I have 2 sons, Nicholas and Christopher, and want to give them a gold coin for their birthday. I have a Nicholas II 1899 Russion Ruble, worth around $425, and would like something comperable for Christopher.

You might try looking for a Christopher Columbus 500 year commemorative.

While not quite as valuable as the ruble, the $5 Columbus Quincentenary would be the closest to your criteria

This is on the bay right now w/2 hrs. left. It's not gold but it's advertised a Columbus coin. Pretty good @ 5.50 now, free S&H
