Recently I found a 1995 penny in a roll of nickels I received directly from a BB&T Bank. The coin is the diameter of a nickel, weighs 2.33g, and it is silver in color. I have looked all over the internet and I can not find any information on a coin such as this. A jeweler examined the coin today and he was not sure what it was (except a one cent coin). The coin is not magnetic and extremely thin.

Someone please help.

Thank you

Without pictures, it is just a guessing game. However, you more than likely have what is known as a "Texas penny" which is not an error at all but more or less a mutilation of a coin.

That sounds like an awesome discovery from a roll of nickels. I would love to see it! Someone on here would be able to identify it for sure.
