Christopher, it's not a doubled die. It's not prominent enough for md, either.

The only thing I can tell from the pics is that one is a large date, the other is a small date.

oopps GOOD EYE!!i must have uploaded a pic of the small date 1960 instead of the large "his twin" in any case the extra "slag" around the 1 (on the small date) and on the 9,6, and 0 of the "large date coin" had me woundering.

This happened a lot on the 1960 Large date Cents. I always blamed ejection for this.
