Cleaning my office out today I cam across an envelope on the window sill. All it had written on it was 'start date 07-27-09. Inside was a silver eagle only not so silver anymore.
Well it did not turn out quite how I expected. it was there for longer than it should have been and I should have picked a coin without the finger prints. but here after almost a year in an envelope is my eagle.
You can easily experiment with the amount of sulphur in any envelope by using sulphur drops from the drug/health food store. Add a few drops to the inside of any envelope and allow to dry thoroughly. Add a beaten coin that's been rinsed in acetone and dried and voila... check every couple months to take a snap and record the process. It's practically a game in itself :). You can do two or three at a time with varying amounts of sulphur drops to get a feel for how much/fast the effect can be.
