Really impressive but again, I still think you should not put any expesive coins in there untill you are sure no gass leakage from any of the finishing products.

Thanks Carl I have 2lbs of descant spread throughout the draws and in the bottom cupboard. So far I only have my AG-VG 2 cents installed and they are in air-tites. There will not be any room for the high grade stuff most of which is at the safety deposit box anyway.

Very nice. I think they should be safe in the Air-Tites from anything the materials may leak out.

I'm bring this one back from the dead! How about an updated photo with your collection in place.

I will see what I can do I am Offshore UK at the moment and will only be back for a day or two before heading up to the ANA worlds money show. It might be the end of August before I can update the pictures.

Looks a bit like a cabinet for coins in a major museum in Sydney. Quite professional.

In one of the photos you have a lot of books right above that cabinet. Not sure it this is the final location for that but don't you worry about a possible book falling on the glass? I find I drop things all the time and that is why I wondered about those books falling. The glass may be strong but for some strange reason sometimes all it takes is a wrong hit with almost anything. Might be something to think about. So when do you start production for sales?

The guy at the glass place said I could walk on it without an issue its 5mm tempered safety glass though I did drop it on the drive as I was pulling it out of the truck bed and cracked a corner. The books have gone for the most part but there is all sorts of coinage and coin related stuff on the top including my camera setup. I have no plans for mass production as with pretty much everything I do it takes an inordinate amount of time to finish and I find people tend not to have the patience to wait months or years for something.

@ nohope587 Been watching this thread but not really partaking in it really, but I wanted to say I admire your dedication to your hobby, and as a cabinet maker(ME), respect the little details and time you've put into your cabinet. I think it is just a wonderful little place to house your collection in an attractive way. I applaud you! ***Is Standing Up*** p.s. Take the sticker off the side or whatever it is.... ! Thats it, thats all I got! :-)

That is one of the nicest, coolest things I have ever seen. What are the lights made out of? They almost look like string christmas lights. Pretty cool looking.

The Lights are rope LED lights available from Lowes or Home Depot. If I did it again I think I would use the Screw on track LEDS that IKEA sells. It will be a while before I attempt anything like this again. I need about twice the space in the cabinet to store everything so at Some point I will have to consider another.

You see, I took the time to re-organize my counterfeit collection into an album today and thought to myself "Yep, that looks spiffy now!"
Then I come online and see THIS. :-)
You did a magnificent job! This is truly an amazing display solution. :-)
