I watched a ebay seller finally learn how to correctly sell an exclusive item. Last week a newbie (10 FB) landed the only 2010 D nickels around. She proceeded to sale none individually, and listed rolls closing minutes apart. Her prices quickly fell to $36 a roll. She then listed a BIN box of 100 at $2500.

She finally got wise and pulled the BIN box and the every other minute auction rolls. Her selling now consists of selling individual nickels, and $79 BIN per roll.

If you have the only game in town, you dole it out slowly. Your profit is so much greater than flooding the market, you really become your own competition.

When others enter into your monopoly hopefully they will follow your lead, and not flood the market.

Note:This is written from a sellers perspective. However I must disclose I did buy one of her rolls on a open auction for a good price, prior to her enlightenment.

Still $36 a roll is still enormouse profit on a $2 roll, even with ebay's cut. But very good advice!!

As of today most ended sales for rolls have jumped up to 50 bucks a roll. Madness.

It may take awhile, but current prices are a bubble that will eventually burst.

lol I know right, why not just wait 6 more months and buy them at a reasonable price. I still haven't gotten my 2009 coins for albums for this reason. Prices are still going down.
