Hi I am thinking of starting a collection of proof sets of different countries around the world.
I've already got Australia, Great Britain, USA and Canada.
What are some important information I need to know about collecting world proof sets?
and
Can you provide me a list of countries that mint proof sets

Thanks

Proof sets are not very popular in many countries. In general it is a good idea to buy older sets. They are generally cheaper than new sets ordered at the mint.
Most Euro-countries have issued proof set before the introduction of the new currency; so you can find sets int he old currency and in euro.
Do also check the price differences between the years that may appear.

In my personal opinion, look up for the value of such sets before you make any purchases. I find in general, a lot of the 1970s mint set a bit more expensive than other years. Maybe something happened back then. ebay has a nice section for mint sets and you might want to check that section out.
