One thing I have noticed with TPG grading sometimes is that a very clean and lustrous coin with just the slightest bit of rub on the devices will receive a lower MS 61/62 grade instead of an AU-58 if the luster in the fields is unbroken. I have a PCGS MS-62 Barber dime that is practically mark free with full luster in the fields but broken luster on the devices. Not sure if that's what happened here, but I really like the look of that coin! Report this Post to the Staff

Seems like a 63 easy but if some high point rubs (cheek & wheat tips) go as wear, then it's really a 58. I believe NGC came right out and published that they are "market-grading" and though this is ANACS, it sure like an example of that. ANA #R3154474 Report this Post to the Staff
