Saw this on ebay and have never heard of this variety. Is it a real variety? If so, what is the point on?

Nothing in Griffin or Zoell about any type coin. And I've not noticed any from the thousands of LC I look at, but I really only notice the Victoria cents .. the others get thrown in a box.

I think the only point he is referring to is the one on the top of his head.

the seller is from Quebec; the word "point" means "dot" in french, i.e. "1920 dot cent", which doesn't exist. The dot on his coin is incuse, i.e. it could have been made by a baboon with a sharp instrument, i.e. this is a total farce.

hmmmm...it's time to sell my complete set of "verry Rare" Cdn dot cents 1920-2010 on ebay with a reserve of a million.

Dick...the seller put up another picture from your question..

I also sent him a message saying that there is no 1920 cent with a point (Dot) from the mint and looks like some one has punched this coin.. He never answered..

Not only is the coin fraudlent but combined with the extremely high shipping costs...I reported this to ebay...It will be interesting to see if any thing happens...

Incredible!
9 bids (one bidder is highly suspect) $20.50 + $59 xpresspost shipping = $79.50
and the foolish seller has a reserve price not met?
wow
