So I originally started collecting coins about 7 or 8 months back. I have also been pulling star bills and the old style bills from pre 1995.
I have accumulated over 2,500 dollars of these 2 varieties of bills. I go from singles to fifties. My oldest Bill I have found I found yesterday when a guy paid with it for gas! It was a 10 dollar bill from 1934. I also have found a 63 red seal 5, a 35 silver certificate single, 2 1950 20's, and a 1950 5 and 10. I think those are the most noteworthy. I was wondering if these bills were worth anything or not (they are all in circulated condition of course, I pulled them from my cash registers) I will post up pictures, and was also wondering what I should do with all of my star bills to see what kind of value they hold, and what I should do with the pre 1995 bills. I don't get too many in my register so maybe they are worth holding onto. thoughts

I would definitely keep them. I think the average lifespan of a one dollar bill is something like 18 months. If you put those back in circulation they'll be destroyed soon. And if you sell them now you'll just make a few bucks. Better to save them for the long term---who knows? Give them as gifts to kids that are interested in this stuff...

Good luck.

Anything with holes and ink stains etc will never get the attention of collectors. Although I save them (pre 70's) I would not hesitate spending them. As per star notes check this website and sort them by run size and year. I keep stars AU+ regardless of run size, XF+ for runs of 640K or less and anything pre 2003 regardless of condition as long as there is no ink or tears.
