I'm thinking AU53. Great coin! It sure does look better after being conserved.

@BadThad
Did you have to use the toothpick method to get into where the devices meet the fields? Or was it just s straight soak?

Toothpick, the verdigris was fairly thick and deep into some of the devices.....I'm also impatient. LOL Here's what I did:

1) Covered the surface in VC and let it stand for 5 minutes.
2) Removed VC to check progress.
3) Recovered the surface in VC and used a toothpick on the devices.
4) Removed VC, dried with canned air and took the pictures.

After all that, I let the coin stand exposed to air for about 24 hours to fully dry. It looked even better today. All traces of greenish/white verdigris are gone. There's a few small, black areas around the devices remaining where the verdigris was heavy. This is verdigris that has bonded with the ReAcT2™ and will no longer be active. I put the coin in an Air-Tite just a few minutes ago and it looks 1000x better.

In my spreadsheet I have this as an MS-63 coin. This is one of those that's very, very difficult to grade. I've spent a good amount of time picking it over. One moment I was AU-58, the next MS-63. Honestly, I just cannot grade this coin so I may have to send it in for the third party opinion. It's barely worth the $25 fee since it's probably worth between $80-$150 depending on the grade. However, these are pretty tough to find in the higher grades regardless of book prices/mintages. In high grade I never see them for sale other than the internet....and I don't like 99% of them. There's tons of cleaned and retoned ones out there.
