I know of only one coin shop in my area, and I had a similar experience to you Slash. Nobody there likes being asked questions, they just want your money. I purchased like $50 worth of storage materials and I didn't even get a thank you.

I understand completely, all my friends don't have the slightest interest in coins. It would be nice to actually show someone my collection that would appreciate it like I do! =P

As a coin shop employee (my shop is in Michigan, so no help for you on that front) and a customer prior to that for 30 years, I can say this: You have to understand dealers have to make money, and 3/$1.00 on tubes is fair. And you might get that price if the dealer charges $.50 individually once you become a "regular". Dealers always work with the regulars, they are the bread and butter of their business. Next, if a dealer isn't willing to talk to you and provide education, and answer ALL your questions (per the nazi dealer) you don't want to be their regular. Someone out there wants your money AND is willing to earn it.

Deltron I know how you feel lol, none of my friends enjoy coins like I do. My boyfriend only keeps them for me to look at but once I try and talk to him and my friends about them they totally tune me out, lol so when I go to my coin dealer or go on here I really enjoy it because they share the same interest as me
