I bought some notes from ebay and I am just wondering how I did. The big reason why not many folks bid on this was because there was no picture. I emailed the guy and he sent me pics. So the pics cheked out with what he said they were so I bid.

Anyway I got 21 silver certs (6) 1935 (15) 1957

The 1935's were avg circ

the 1957 were as follows (6) avg circ (1 star note)
(7) Unc with sequencial serial numbers, 1
set of 4 and 1 set of 3
(2) Unc star notes with sequencial ser number

Also there was (1)avg circ 1928D $2 and 3 rolls of the 2010D Shield cents.

I paid $52.50 with shipping

I think it was a good deal but I know nothing about notes. What do you all think?

Yeap, you did OK. The shield cents sealed the deal for me. I Was thinking maybe just a little bit much until I got to that part.

You paid market price IMO.
You couldn't sell it for that, and you would pay more from a dealer.
So I suppose being between wholesale and retail is where you want to be,
so long as you really like what you bought. Investments don't pay off
unless you get down to the wholesale pricing.

Here in Hawaii, silver certs in circulated condition sell for $3 a piece at the local shops bid board every week. Thats the big reason I bought the lot. I can sell the circulated stuff and get most of my money back and have some nice notes to keep for myself at a cheap price. I just have to spread the notes out over a few weeks because only a few guys buy them.

Same way here on the mainland Lion, I think there are only a few guys who buy them here as well.
