Went to my half dollar cash in bank, its very heavy merchant bank. My one teller saves all the old bills for me to look at before he sends them in.

He had 875$ in one week, of every denomination. Ended up keeping a 1969 c 100$, and a 1974 5$.

I've saved a few smallheads in the past couple of weeks. They've been startlingly frequent.

I had someone hand me three CRISP 1985 and 1988 $1 bills the other day . . .

. . . . that had something bright yellow like food colouring all over them. (I wanted to cry.) I saved the one with the fewest stains and let the others go.

Been too lazy to post the 2 notes I found at work but here they are:

The 1953 $2 was from some poor dude who had nothing else to use when he was purchasing something.
The 1969 $5 I found while I was starting my shift in the register and I snatched it up.

unfortunately the $2 was really beat up since it was in a wallet and before that God knows where else. Already have one those rated by PMG in 64 so it is sentimental really.

I have a stash of old currency and was wondering if there was any value in them. When a get a few minutes is will post the particulars of these bills and was hoping if someone could tell me if they are collectible of if I should just spend them.

Would it be worthwile to bring them to a dealer to look at or just post the particulars that I have one them.

Please advise.

Back in the late '70's I was playing some liars poker and went up to bar to get some dollar bills from bartender. One of the bills had something like 6 or more 1's in the serial number.

Boy did that change my luck. They never knew when that bill came up in my rotation.

Anyway, the question that I wanted to pose is a bill of any denomination that has a whole slew of the same number on it good for anything but liar's poker and is there some sort of name for such a bill provided it didn't have a bunch of 6's in the serial number?

Here's some of my oldest finds....I worked as a delivery driver for many years and was also the person who got change for the store from the bank, I was in good with the tellers there, it paid off... most of my US currency collection consisting of old style notes and star notes is all stuff found while working.
