coincollector123, I think it is pretty cool that Brian offered to "piggyback" your coin in with his submission to a third party grader. It is important to remember one thing though. Patience is everything. Once they are submitted to the graders it could take awhile to get the information about the coin and longer to get it back from them. And it is hard to be patient sometimes with coins. and welcome to the wonderful world of Ike's Terry

Might want to try JMSCoins web site. The person there is supposed to be an expert on those coins. Quote:James has been nationally recognized for his knowledge on Eisenhower dollars. He collaborated with John Wexler and Kevin Flynn in "The Authoritative Reference Guide to Eisenhower Silver Dollars". Copied from that web site.

He sent me the address to a PO box and my father is hesitant about sending my Ike to them. Can people give me some responses when they sent their ikes to the Ike Group people to have it looked at.

biokemist6 Can you post a picture of the mint mark in your 1971-S fake? I want to compare them. It is interesting that they are the same weight. Odd indeed.

That one belonged to another forum member, Zarboy. He got it with some other fake coins at a market in Dubai.

I have decided that I want to get a membership in one of the major coin graders and send it in myself. Which ones do you recommend?

Can I ask.....why would you want to send in a coin you spent two dollars on from a garage sale? Is it really worth it? Just sayin...good luck with it though.

In response to the question of which coin grader to send your Eisenhower dollar to. I would send it to ANACS with attention to John Roberts. They at this time are the best at Attributing Eisenhower dollar Varieties. You can do a search on John Roberts at ANACS to see some of the work he has done. Here is a link to an Article on the Die Markers for the 1972 Type 2 March and August Releases. http://www.anacs.com/(X(1)A(hpl5m6Z...kieSupport=1Some of the other grading services do not deal very well with Eisenhower Varieties There are politics in every circle of people and coin collecting is no different Plus there was the new Eisenhower dollar Variety book released today by Rob Ezerman of the Ike Group. 499 pages and years of research with many collaborators comes in both paper back and hard back Link http://www.lulu.com/browse/search.p...itSearch.y=4
