Kerry, I haven't read that anyone else suggested it (I may have missed it), but have you considered contacting the forum owner (preferred) or one of the moderators to let him/her know what is going on? Often times, the forum owner may know the individual and might be able to put pressure on the individual (or some other action) to come across with the goods.
Good luck!

Fred, I posted on that forum that I was ripped off and I got one reply from someone who told me I was wrong and should not get upset over this. After all it has only been six weeks.......a couple more replys and they closed the thread down. Apparently you are not supposed to post anything negative on that site.....I will no longer trade there. I'll do it all here !

I would just like to say that I have traded with seven different members of Coin Community Family, and every trade was absolutely perfect.
I couldn't be more pleased.
I would guess that members of CCF who trade would report near 100 percent satisfaction regarding trades with "Family" members.

Kerry...don't be too rough on yourself. You're a trusting person and that's a good thing. That also means that you are trustworthy and to me that speaks volumes. Hopefully, the person will come through. If not, it's just another lesson learned, unfortunately. And yes, what Gary said above! The CCF Mom/Dad/Moderators and other members keep a close watch out for this kind of thing on this forum so I know that we're all in safe hands here!

Kerry, I saw the thread that you are talking about. While I certainly understand not permitting personal attacks on another member, I also think it's important for members to know if a trade goes badly. I have to say that I disagree with how this situation was handled. I hope you get your coins anyway, but I have to agree that 6 weeks is awfully long to wait for a trade to complete. With no communication, it is not promising.
All I can say is that we do keep an eye on trades here at CC and will intervene if necessary to protect our members.

How should it have been handled Susan ? Are you just supposed to keep quiet when you get ripped off ? I did not mention the guys name but I wanted everyone to know that one of their own was a thief.

Kerry, you misunderstand me. I disagree with how that forum staff handled it. The thread should not have been closed and you should have been permitted to post the identity of the member with whom you were trading. Negative, as well as positive experiences in trading, should be shared with the membership. Please understand, I am not faulting your actions at all!

Kerry .. I too read the thread and they closed it....unbelievable. Unreal.
I had troubles with them over there and the handle things very poorly and lie about it.
That's why I'm here.
Good Luck and I hope it works out for you.

Did get my money back tho.
A few months back I got a Dutch 10 FL gold coin 1897 for 12% below gold spot on ebay France . It was an MS65 ( my grading ) The guy tried everything to block me from paying ; no bank account no street address ; no paypal I initiated complaints with ebay and suddenly a contract was no longer a contract ( it was a big dealershop lots of commissions) ebay suggested I as the buyer officially terminate the contract so that I would not have any future problems Well I found the guys telephone number and after 3 phonecalls and the promise I would just drive over to Paris I finally was allowed to buy the coin I told him to pay ebay for reserve or minimum start price if he sold items unsellable in France

Thanks for the offer but not neccessary. Somebody else's coins is not going to make me feel better. That makes me feel like a begger. If the guy does not fess up his part, I guess I am just out thats all. It was about a $50 deal....
