Just wondering if anyone is into Paper money as well as coins. I myself think it is interesting. I have several $1 Silver Certificates. I have been trying to get some 1899 Black Eagles on ebay but always seem to lose because the auction ends when I am at work. If anybody has any Black Eagles of OLD US paper money to trade or sell, let me know....

I am very much into US and abroad paper currency. In fact, I might have just as much, if not more, paper than coin.

I like to collect paper money as well...I have some silver certificates, gold certificates, I only have one black eagle, and some old 2 dollaer bills. I also purchase from the BEP for the new money. I have a sheet of 16 uncut one dollar bills and am waiting for a texas coin and curreny set (only 2000 made)

Sure...I too have a variety of $1 and $2 Silver Certs and a few Red Seal notes as well. Also foreign, mostly Canadian, Japanese, Mexican, Russian, etc. and more. I collect them but, only when I see them and not actively pursueing them. Oh and star notes!

I love paper money - my grandma has given me many silver certificates, red seal $2 bills, old confederate bills, and a wide variety of old international currency. I have not yet stumbled across a black eagle bill... I save any notes that have interesting serial numbers or errors. http://www.antiquecurrencyllc.com/n...te_type_id=2About 4 or 5 bills down the list there is a really nice one... Good Luck!

I have a small currency collection- I posted some of it in the photo gallery. Some foreign, but mostly odd serial numbers, silver certs and red seals. One of my proudest days was when one of my non-collecting co-workers comes running up to me with a bill in her hand. She says "I don't know what this is but I'm buying it!" It was a silver cert, I guess she was listening when I told her what to look for! Rachel [:p]

I have a collection of both Australian and American banknotes both old and new.
Wish I had some more new ones to spend.

Just getting in to it. I am kind of buying the cheap stuff nobody else will buy. Hoping to get my first one this week and maybe some more next week. I don't want to go full blown out yet as it does take away from my coin budget.

I am naturally a collector of British & British Commonwealth banknotes.I am aiming to get as many British Commonwealth countries represented, but there are some whose notes are far too scarce (& expensive as well!) for me to afford.
