Just curious what a note like K16141416E or L20282820R would be called.

Not a radar. A radar would read the same forward and backward,such as,16144161 or 20288202 in your case. I dont know if there is any special term for a note like that. I'm sure if there is one you will find your answer here.

What you have is 2 digit bookends - same 2 numbers at the begining and end.

EX - 3 digit Bookend - 6219 7621

The first one is a repeater, and the second one is a mirror.
