That's what I think of when I hear "error coin," none of these tiny little scratches, or extra little bumps in a design. To me, those things are just natural imperfections in the minting process, not "errors." A penny being struck off center or a coin with the reverse of a different denomination, that's a true "error." I saw a similar coin on ebay except this one looks like it was struck off center on a planchet with a curved clip: http://cgi.ebay.com/1979d-HUGE-Off-...em35ad00d530 The 275K coin is certainly a cool looking error, but for 275K I think I can live without it!
