125 silvers now, TomM... that's awesome!
I've searched around 50K quarters this year near L.A. and have yet to find a silver. However, I have found three Philly-minted silver quarters so far in 2024 - 2 amongst 4,800 coins I bought in Henderson, NV in March (1960, 1963), & 1 in a slot machine payout at Circus Circus in Vegas in May (1957)...

Nice finds! Thanks, jbuck! Hopefully a precursor to how it will normally be when I'm actually living there (by the end of next year).

Thanks, everyone! And hopefully your luck will turn, John77, with the move. Just after that last post, I searched a box from a local armored car service (Titan) which serves some of my local banks. In the first few rolls I found a 1957-D. Then another silver, and another. One roll had three silver quarters! All told, I found ten silvers in this box: 1936-P, 1945-Px2, 1946-P (ender), 1951-D, 1957-Dx2, 1959-D, 1960-D, and a 1964-D. The 1936 is the second oldest quarter I've found in 609 boxes (the oldest is a 1935-S). Don't get the wrong impression: I've had many, many boxes with nothing interesting. By far, this is the best MWR box I've searched (I did come across an earlier hoard of 14 silvers in three CWR). But it is nice to have an exciting box once in a while.

I searched through $350 in CWR and $150 in BWR. In the BWR, I found one Canadian quarter, but in the CWR, I found a 1964 Washington quarter. Additionally, I found that banks in my area are receiving boxes of the Dr. Mary Edwards Walker Quarter, so I scored a roll for myself. I am still looking for the Dr. Pauli Murray Quarter to be caught up in the American Women Quarters series.

Thanks, everyone. My streak of good luck has continued. I searched a Brinks box last night and found three silvers (1952-P, 1960-D, 1964-P) plus a 2020-W Marsh Billings. That's way above my average for Brinks, which typically yields one W every two boxes and one silver quarter every four or five boxes.
