It's always great to find something unexpected like that. Especially on the end of a roll. I found a 1911 V nickel on the end of a roll on 9-1-12. Just sitting there in the middle of a bank box. What a great feeling. Congrats again.

Hey Shonit, how do you get american coins so often? I thought your location is canada? Very nice finds you are getting. I just went through my worst box of quarters. I'll keep plugging away.

is it tough to put together a BU-set of clad Washington quarters from roll searching if you look through an entire box?

From a single box? Probably difficult but if you keep getting more boxes it is possible. It gets tougher when you want to find pre 1965.

Monks, I have a couple questions for you but figured the info would be useful to everyone so I'm asking on the forums. I know you hunt all kinds of coin and you're a valued CRHing member. I'm not having much luck with the halves so I'm considering some quarters. I've done one box, several months ago. I found 3 64's in one roll. They were S&S rolls. Only reason I purchased the q's was because I couldn't get anything else that evening. Figured I was just lucky and haven't tried them any more. So my question: How often would you say you find a silver quarter? Anything else to save that has a premium? The ATB's are interesting but I pretty much found all of them already and only want to keep multiples of stuff that has a premium. Thanks OO

owass thanks for the kind words, as for your answer I'm averaging about 1 silver quarter every 2.5 boxes (sometimes though those figures dont work ) like last week or the time I got 5 boxes in a row and found 1 in every box, I agree the halves are brutal for me as well 12 boxes with no silver in halves isn't easy. hope that kind of answered your question

Beautiful Canadapenny! That must have been a thrill!
I've done several boxes of quarters in NJ and have never found a silver; just 1 proof, non-silver.
