I recently acquired these two medals of Queen Victoria. I have searched the Internet and have found no information about either one. Does anyone know when these were produced and about how much they are worth?
The first medal appears in Browm's British Historical Medals as number 2241-"Opening of Brompton Hospital". If I'm right, it should be 64mm and white metal (although they were also produced in copper or bronze). Manufactured by J Davis in 1846, Brown lists it as rare.
The second medal appears as BHM #2435, 48 mm also by J. Davis for the Great Exhibition at the Crystal Palace in 1851. It's listed as common.
