Dottir: Sorry to digress off topic, but:

Quote:
1959 Blunt 5
1959 Pointy 5

These are new to me!
Do you have any info, or can you point me to a reference?

Likewise with the doubled 78. (I only knew of 76 and 79.)

there was a designer of 2003 Canadian coin by the name of Susanna Blunt but I don't know if she had anything to do with the 1959 coin

I collect small cents; I'm missing 1921-26, 1930, 1953 Shoulder Fold, 1985 Pointed 5, and 2010 magnetic.
I also have Newfoundland cents 1938 and 1943C.

I lost all my coins a little while ago but I just went through my jar of coins to restart collecting in a more efficeint manner and I found a 44 55 and all from 62 up except 67. I have been doing some research and next step is to find out if I have any varieties and I will sort by condition.

We get a lot of tourist traffic in the summer . we get quite a few of the cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters and some loonies. When I roll search I pull them I've had a good time putting this collection together the past few years

I've got over 150 pennies in total - 1858 - 1920 (the 1920, both large & small versions). Haven't looked at them for a long LONG time... I remember one year in particular (someone please pipe in) that has several different variations... most of them are quite hard to fine and pretty pricy as well...

LOL.... I should't have read this post... guess what I'm doing tonight...
