Most are not really worth a lot more than others but so many people hoard S minted coins it becomes noticable that there are less in circulation and have been like this for a long time. At most coin shows it appears any S mint coin is selling for more than even a better graded D mint of the same year. This is also true of other denominations, not just cents. I too used to save all 1970S Cents thinking some day I'll go through them and find lots of those small dates. After about 10 rolls saved I went through them and found none of the small dates so into the bank with the rest. Report this Post to the Staff

I think the 1960 small date is the REALLY hard one to find in circulation, but unless you're really into roll searching I would just buy the 70S. Make sure you know how to identify them though because I've seen them mislabeled on ebay and even in coin shops. Report this Post to the Staff

I don't know if there is any premium for them right now, but I'm keeping every one I find anyway. They might not be worth much in my lifetime, but I have 3 sons...and one granddaughter...
