I find it interesting because it's an aspect of the manufacturing process that creates the coins I/we collect. By posting this coin I've already learned something: there is a typical pattern of deterioration for the reverse dies that creates this sort of crack. I'll remember that and be watching for it the next time I'm trolling for silver
Washington quarters. Maybe I'll find an example with a more extreme crack caused by a terminal die state.
I wouldn't pay any extra for this sort of feature but it is still of interest to me, and worthy of posting in the Modern Coin error/variety section, IMO. To each his/her own, right?
