didou.. you can submit coins yourself, e-mail CCCS, or call ICCS, they will inform you what to do, your coin will be registered, etc.

The pic link doesn't work for me, but I would be interested to see a VF PL coin. I don't think anyone can guess the value, they are just not found in these types of grades most of the time.

It is a NSF that you have , so it must be worth something.

ok, first of all, release the coin from is cage.... then take a close up of the obverse and post it. if it is NSF which it appears to be... send it to a TPG.....

without having a better image of the "DEI"......i would have to say that the coin in question is a "SF" because, the slight flaring of bottom of the "I" is clear and clean as where the top flaring looks to be flared more to one side (right) than the left....i would be very careful if I was interested in purchasing this coin... does this make sense ? your coin on the left......see how the flares on the right are symmetrical

I don't think it is a NSF coin but I would love to be proven wrong....it would be an awesome find if it comes back form a TPG.....if you are not comfortable sending it in by all means find a coin dealer and ask their opinion.

I've never seen so much disagreement over a SF/NSF. To me, this coin clearly has flared "I" ends, and the "I" clearly points between two denticles. If you look closely, you'll also see small "tails" at the bottom left of the "D" and the top left of the "E" which are minor font variances observed between the SF and NSF.

Enlarging DEI and enhancing, the "I" position and serifs match the NSF markers in Charlton's.

Not a great picture, but a great find! --- IMO, I would say with no doubt NSF -- -Icent- is right! ---The flaring on the secondary D & E is key to further determine NSF and if we had a better picture, it would show the flaring goes to other letters also. --- You have a winner. Congrats! But get it certified before you dance! It will be worth way more! A very rare find! ---Take some better pictures first and send it in. I would, if asked suggest CCCS! Ask for Louis, I found him very good and open minded, with my experience. This, with the same Question, but with the 1954 NSF nickel, I once had and got certified. ---If your inclined let me know how it goes or got Questions? Send me a note. Good Luck!

didou: Which third-party grader did you choose?
Best of luck. It's a very unusual find, and it will be interesting to see how people estimate the value, being that is likely an extreme grade rarity. Perhaps unique.
