Very Cool. What is the market value on that coin?

Cool.
That's a nice start on a terrific collection or for what it's worth you can collect just about anything.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Wow...that's really cool! Just how did a 40% planchet get struck in '77?

I have no idea why I never noticed this topic when it first came out. Sure glad I discovered it now; made for some great reading! Congratulations, hybes; this is the kind of find that keeps us hardcore CRHers going. Enjoy!

That is one sweet transitional error Do you plan on keeping it or selling it? That it is a fairly high-dollar error, Heritage sold a PCGS MS64 in 2007 for $6900. Now you just need a 90% 1965 and a 40% 1971 to complete the Kennedy trifecta

Congratulation.
Something like this would be great to keep w/in the family and pass on to the next generation with a little story of how it was found. On the other hand, if you decide to let go, I am sure there are many collectors on here would want to buy/bid for it..... especially since many have followed/read this thread.

I think I am going to keep it for now, unless the right offer comes along. I will probably take it to a show our two to see what the interest level is. I have one offer on it already from the guy who sent it in to be graded, but I don't want to jump at the first offer either.
