I think your coin is "Heritage" worthy when it comes time to sell. John1

I agree with John1. And Hybes, good job. You have waited this long, field a few offers and see what comes in! Depending on your financial goals, it might be best to convert it into another asset class before the numismatic value drops out from underneath it.
Either way, good job!

Congratulations, hybes, on the find of a lifetime. Really great when stories like this end well and the original poster is vindicated and the skeptics are all quieted. What a remarkable find for numismatics and I really thnk your find and story should be written up in Coin World or something similar. This is most defintely newsworthy!

Wow! Great thread, and a GREAT find!
I live in Grand Rapids as well, it's nice to hear of such a major find so close to home.
I have a couple questions, feel free to PM or email me if you'd rather:
- Where do you get your halves to search? - Reading between the lines it sounds like someone other than Jade sent it in for you, who'd you have submit it? - Any good coin shops locally besides Al on 44th?
I'm impressed with how you stayed above the fray. Thanks again for sharing!

Congrat hybes,
Finding one like this is almost hitting the lottery, not sure about the spreads. But the numbers are good as getting struck by lighting.

I just read this entire thread from Page 1 to Page 17 ... and offer the observation that hybes deserves some significant credit for his/her diligence in pursuing this coin despite some serious scepticism on our collective behalf.
Well done hybes .. you have been proven correct ... and I join with our fellow CCF members in saluting your determination to 'get it right' ...
As well appreciate the fact that you checked back in with us for the final result.
Hoping you stick around the CCF and contribute again.

Wow..amazing find! It's nice enough finding a 40% in halves, but a '77D?

Just stumbled upon this thread....what a great read and ending! Glad I did not have to wait in suspense a year and a half, it was bad enough just going from page 1 to here.

I'm just glad I don't have to see those posts of emoticons eating popcorn or people saying I will believe it when I see it any more......haha
