Here you will find a penny that I found that was in a ring setting. It does not have any holes drilled or anything like that, it was encircled by a piece of metal. The reverse side had what I believe is paint on it, and the obverse was covered by the ring backing. The pic of the obverse does not show that there is still a lot of the original color, and would be considered R/B when graded. This is what I was trying to explain in another forum about the shiny silver looking penny. My question here is should I try and remove the paint, I believe it is paint, or should I just leave it as is, and try to grade it?

Leave it as is and spend it,unless you REALLY need to fill that empty space.

the cleaning would probally ruin any value it may have had
