My wife works at a bank and periodically they get new uncirculated rolls. Are these rolls worth anything more than face value? If not, how long before they start accruing some value to collectors? I know slightly older rolls seem to be in demand on ebay etc...

there is a usually a premium on most new coin rolls. Some are worth more than others, for instance 2009 nickels are about $10 a roll. Most rolls will only fetch a small premium. I personally like getting the new rolls to look for mint errors.

If they are truly un-circulated I would bring home two of each and just hang on to them. Go through them when you have time or just keep them in a roll collection. Better yet, I'll buy two of each from you when ever you get them. That way I can stop buying rolls and bags from the mint. My Credit Union does not buy coins, they recycle those brought in by other members. My local banks want to charge too much for ordering coins for me. It's nice living in rural America but some times some of the amenities are missing.

ebay might be your best bet, in getting anything beyond face value for the newer rolls right now.
As far as a "future value".....well that's impossible to know, but if there are any premiums beyond face on a particular roll right now, they very well may continue to rise a tiny bit each year. If you stay diligent and on top of it, you could gleam some profit.
But many of the State Qtr. rolls have actually gone "down" in value over time, so, there's really no "formula" for this.......it's just a hope, prayer, and a gamble type of thing.
But, any "Uncirculated" coins are always great to put into folders or albums to build Sets !
So, I wouldn't get TOO crazy with stockpiling rolls.....but any you come across would be worth saving, as long as it's just one or two rolls from each Mint. But having said that, again, if you're diligent, and constantly checking ebay to see what things are going for.....you could make some scores from time to time, depending on what exactly you have.

People sell rolls here for a small premium all the time. I've seen 2010 cents, nickels, quarters, and dollars offered.

On second thought, trust me fenton don't listen to those guys, send me those rolls and no--body else.

OK, just kidding, eaglefoot makes a good point and believe me you'll always be able to sell them here on the CCF. I'm still buying quarter rolls from 1999.
