monkeyman67, my local coin shop owner bought bags from Brinks, who had the contract, until some time last spring, I believe. However, he told me that Brinks had lost the contract for the time being, so who the new third party is I don't know, and I don't believe he does, either.

Oh ok. So really I would need to get in touch with the third party. Ok maybe I can get that info from coinstar and if not the store will probably know. Thanks.

The owner of the local coin shop doesn't know who the third party is, momkeyman67. Good luck with your investigation.

I dont believe that any silver will fall into the bag. I have found silver in the coin return slot, so coinstar is rejecting silver coins.
I believe that the only thing you will find is wheat pennies.

I make excusses to go to my grocery store just to check the reject bin for silver on their coinstar machine. If the machine does accept silver it sure does reject bunches. I've got my share of mercs, roosies, canadian, and even a couple of silver washingtons from there. And the occasional steel wheat or older slick wheats. Not to mention that the machine doesn't take foreign coins. I'm up to 22 countries now! Hope the info helps somebody!

Hello sorry for the delay. (Holidays) I will have to look for the paper I wrote everything down on. Its not the rejection bag your purchasing its the actual coins people submit for counting. Here is a number to try 425-943-8000 I asked the operator I would like to purchase a bin at a local coinstar. She said hold on and transferred me to a Scott. Scotts machine picked up. I didnt leave a message but will try back later. You want to get in touch with the corp hq that dispatches subs to your local coin star. I do remember now the number I used to call was given to me by The Customer Service Lady inside the Stop N SHop where the coinstar is located. The number above is off their website. Under Contact us. From https://www.coinstar.com MAINMAN750 love to hear your daughter working with you. I use to share a lot of time with my older son Anthony 12. Looking through coins but now that hes hit that 12 year mark he no longer thinks its cool or something like that cause he doesn't really do it anymore. But My 2&1/2 YO Ty loves looking at coins. When he was about a year and a half he had a coin in his hand ( Under Careful Watch, I handed it to him) But hes looking at it like hes seen me do a trillion times looking for errors. So I asked what hes got and hes just looking at the coin with it by his stomach. Then I said, "Is it a good one" When I said that he pulled the coin right to his eyeball and squinted saying huuuummmm. None of us could breath we were all dying laughing. They are little sponges. I'll remember that moment for the rest of my life. GOD WILLING.I guess he was copying what he saw when I found one with interest. First I pull it close to my face to view without the help of any magnification. Then I announce " I think I got a good one"

Man, you never know what you are going to learn.... I had no idea to check these things, I'll be on the lookout for them now! BTW- I have put my change into one before, FYI they will return 100% of the value as an Amazon.com gift certificate & some other store gift cards. Since I buy from Amazon a lot, then that saves me the time of rolling coins & going to the bank.
