So I really wanted to share my coin show experience with the people I talk to on this forum most....THE PEOPLE ON THE MODERN US coins! Apparently some moderator or something moved my post into the main coin forum. This is really pretty dumb and makes me pretty mad. I posted it in here on purpose. The people who have given me all the information I know about coin collecting, and have taught me for a year on the forum are from here, not the main coin forum. Anyone interested in seeing my buys can find my post somewhere in the main coin forum. I figure this post will get deleted or something soon anyways and maybe I'll get banned off this site for calling someone out, but it's really pretty stupid in my opinion. I just wanted to show everyone how excited I was and share my experience with those who have become my coin collecting family. Sorry for those who get offended reading this. Other then that this makes me pretty upset with the forum, which is the first time this has happened to me in over a year Chris (maybe it's time I find a new home)

its a non coin related section of the forum, slash even though I did not move your thread it is where it belongs since its not a modern coin topic, its a 'going to a coin show" thread, I am sorry you disagree but that is where it belongs. I will tell you that you exclaiming your dislike like you are doing will definitely not get you the results you are after. Quote: Other then that this makes me pretty upset with the forum, which is the first time this has happened to me in over a year Chris (maybe it's time I find a new home) Well there are plenty out there and even though I hate to see someone leave over something stupid, you may be right if this is how you are going to act over something as small as a topic being move

you know, I am not going to sit here and argue the fact it is a OT topic that belongs in the OT section. I am sorry you do not agree but if we allow everyone to post just everywhere they want the forum would be all jumbled up with topic that don't belong in those sections all the time and no one would be able to find a subject they actually wanted to read. That is why we have a General Discussion area. To be honest this isn't where this belongs either, and I will move it where it actually should have been placed to start with

how is investing in coins a modern us coin topic its a main coin forum topic there are tons that dont "belong here" but we all talk about the things and help each other out here they have modern coin references and modern coins are involved in the talking does anyone really care where the post is if it has some sort of reference to modern coins in it what a stupid line to draw

as I said I didn't move your thread, but who ever did (may have been the owner of the forum for all I know) thought it needed to be moved, and so it was

So if one of our Canadian members finds a Franklin half they should be allowed to discuss it in the Canadian Coin Forum? Not going to happen. Ever. We're here to learn and no one can learn anything if topics aren't where they're supposed to be. In 5 years you are only the second member to get upset over this. Most reply to the "topic moved" email and thank us. Since the posts that have already been removed over this and the emails that have been sent to various Staff members, including me, would make Eddie Murphy blush.... slash is no longer with us. Over something as simple as putting a topic where it belongs? So who wants to run a forum? Show of hands? Trust me, you won't get paid enough.

Just with some of the juvenile rants that I see passively, Run the Forum? Not on your life.
Again: We are guests here. It's theirs. We Follow their rules. Or just go away.

wow, what a trivial thing to get bent-out-of-whack over. Moving their topic got them this upset...geez

Good thing my kids were home because I needed help back into my chair. And I re-iterate, all because we moved a topic to it's proper forum.

Yeah, I am often greatly amused at folks who totally lose it over the stupidest of trivialities......I am sure that a whole lot of folks have been quite amused at my actions as well, because I carry considerable guilt of being unable to contain my own emotions in some of the most inopportune of situations. I should be able to see it coming though.....the warning signs are when my knuckles whiten from my fingers wrapping a little too tightly around my second bottle of Strawberry Hill...

although I was getting upset at this member I had no intentions of taking it personal. That is until he sent me a nasty email (through the forum email server) telling me how low down I was, that kind of behavior would not be tolerated from any member to another (not only because I am a moderator) so that is when I did take it personal and the reason he got locked. he also started some other thread that are now out of the view of the members because they were just nasty. I hate to see a member leave us but if they are going to act like this member did, they really have no place here, there are plenty of forums that would be happy to hear their rants and raves but this is not one of them
