In case anyone didn't catch it in my earlier post, I'm limited to obverse scans right now, but as soon as I can get to the bank, and bring my Morgans home, I'll post both obverse and reverse. The original Morgan design had 8 tailfeathers. This was discovered to be anatomically incorrect, and the design was changed to the correct 7 tailfeathers. While the new dies were being finished, some old 8TF dies were reimpressed from new 7TF hubs, creating the "7/8TF" varieties we discuss. Report this Post to the Staff
