Those kinds of coins would sure be fun to find. All I've
really found for Canadians is mainly the 1970's different double-ings. Yesterday I found a 2006 nickel with a clump of metal stuck under the top stroke of the 6. There's one similar to it shown in the coinsandcanada site. The metal clump in the same spot.

It seems Canadian errors don't often get out of the mint and into circulation?

The 60's seemed to be best for errors, lots of back door jobs. Coins were shipped out in bags and bank employees were expected to return errors.

Hi zonad!
---Love your avatar it makes me smile every time I see it.
That multi-strike error coin 1878H 25cent, is quite the beauty.
---I always wondered what the value of such a coin would be on the market, especially certified? And how / who determines it's value?

Thanks. I stole the avatar from somewhere else. I have no idea of a value, only an auction would give a real answer. I bought it in a group of errors which I will post more photos of unless people are getting tired of this thread.

Just wondering whether you sent in the 1947 "7 cent" coin in for certification? I wouldn't be surprised if it came back as a fake triple strike. The rest of the errors are awesome!

Zonad,I am curious as to how this was determined to be an NS or NB coin,as this same portrait and legend appear on many coins struck by The Royal Mint for this era?

I think there are differences in position of legends, and berries in laurel leaves. Not a provincial collector for the most part.

Go to the beginning of this thread. 1965 Reverse with 1953-1964 Obverse. Interesting?

Intersesting? not really,if you're a mint employee with too much time on your hands, why be satisfied with a 35cent quarter when you can make it a mule as well.
