Nice! I'll be at Long Beach here in So. Cal. which is about 500 dealers. These big shows are fun with something for everyone ;-)

I like the way you photo shopped all the nerds out of the picture and put in normal people.

I went to the show. Didn't make the connection with other CCF members but found it very interesting. Overwhelming might be a better discription. Stacks of $500 and $1000 bills and piles of double eagles is not what I am used to. Bought a set of 1950-2008 Lincons for $20.00. 1/2 pound copper bullion for $7.00.(Just because I thought it was neat). A 1893 Coumbian Exposition Half in AU for $12.50. A few Jeffersons I need to update my set and 5 Indian cents that I didn't have. Three of 4 big coins supply companies there so I bought stuff that I don't need now, but will in the future. All in all, a very interesting time. I can't imagine a bigger show. With all the money around there, it kind of reminded me of Las Vegas. Somehow you get the feeling money isn't real. I would recommend it to anyone who is able to attend. Regards, Jim

Wow, that seems like a FUN show! (No pun intended). The biggest show I've been to is the Long Beach which as Dave mentioned is pretty big and has something for everyone.

Up where I'm we don't get coin shows. I would have to go 8 hours (Toronto or Detroit) to see a show. I think I'm getting depressed reading this thread. Have fun guys and spend some money for me.

That's about right Moe! They came by land, air, and sea! I agree with tampabaygrampa, it really was quite overwhelming. A view of the Convention Center. And more parking across the street.

Surprisingly - nothing.
Well, a couple of books.
I'm usually the first one to bail on my list and come home with everything that's not on my list, but this time I was on a mission.
I was out to upgrade my 1914-D Lincoln and pick up a high end '09-S VDB.
But, I was surprised at the prices. I thought pricing would be a lot more competetive as people vied for your business, but found it to be the opposite. I kind of got tired of trying to negotiate just get to greysheet.
But, I still had a blast and got to meet some CCF members, so as far as I'm concerned I didn't go home empty-handed.

I thought that all high end and semi-key coins were high. Outside of the Jeffersons that I bought, most of what I got came out of the "bargain bins" that weren't really great bargains.

If that is your area of interest I'm sure you would not have been disappointed. I noticed at least 3 or 4 dealers from outside the U.S.

Point of interest...The summer F.U.N. show is scheduled for July 7-9, 2011 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
Also, on display was a 100 Troy Ounce gold nugget. About 7 inches long and about 5 inches wide at the widest point. Quite the find for some prospector.
