I found this the other day and at first glance I thought it was damaged by a rolling machine, but after I looked more closely at it I don't think it was. The line going through "IN GOD" looks to be incuse (I hope I get my terminology correct), and the line going through "TRUST" looks to be relief. I was justed wandering if this is the same thing as the 2009 Proof State Quarter that was posted on here, or something different. Any help would be appreciated.

It appears to be a die dent. Incuse on the die raised on the coin. I save them. They are nice when they are large like yours. Unlike a die gouge, a dent is longer and continuous.

Definitely die damage of some kind. The line running through UST looks like die dent. The line running through IN G is probably also a die dent, although a die gouge is also possible. I suspect the incuse line represents a sharp pressure ridge. Notice that the metal alongside is subtly raised.
