How Do You Store Your Expensive Canadian Coins?

Dollar Valued Member Canada 89 Posts	Posted 01/19/2011 01:58 am I have some key dates or high grades raw Canadian coins from cents to dollars. I usually store not so expensive coins in 2X2" holders. But how should I store those expensive ones? Should I store my RED cents in 2X2? I had tried the Air-Tite holders, but don't really like them as they are in round shape. I was looking to get the Intercept Shiled 2X2, but they don't make sizes for Canadian coins. How do you guys store? Thanks all! Report this Post to the Staff

Get some Mylar sheet, which is inert, and cut that into 2x2 squares. Use these as inserts inside your plain 2x2 cardboard holders. Mylar is the substrate used for plastic banknotes Where do you get Mylar sheet? Dunno, but I would start looking for plastics materials suppliers in the business telephone directory in your city. A stamp dealer might be able to give you a lead. All valuable stamps should be kept in Mylar stamp holders. The same applies for valuable banknotes. Report this Post to the Staff

1cent Pillar of the Community Canada 1051 Posts	Posted 01/19/2011 7:49 pm TPG slabs. Despite those that will argue TPG's are a sham and unnecessary, they are pretty much a given for most expensive stuff. I still have lots of ICCS, but CCCS and PCGS are closing the gap. Report this Post to the Staff
