Well, I didn't have one in my collection yet
and I couldn't stand it. I happened to
catch a commercial on TV last night for
a jewelery repair shop. Halfway through
the commercial they started flashing Peace and Morgan
dollars. But never mentioned that they sold coins.
I woke up this morning and paid them a visit. I left with
this 1888-O Morgan for $28 USD after tax. How did I do?
Be brutal, this is my first Morgan purchase and if I fouled
up I need to know. I naked eyed it for VAMS but didn't find anything. I really need a lens Thanks guys and take care.

Looks like a nice VF-30 example, toning looks nice, no obvious signs of cleaning. Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Morgan collecting!

So at VF-30 it looks like I paid a little over Red Book value.
I don't like to overpay period but it is worth it to finally have
One in my collection. Thanks for the input and I welcome any other
Thoughts.

Maybe you could have gotten something similar for a few bucks ($3-5) less, but it sounds like you like it. I do too. I love Morgans that you don't have to baby. The kind that look good but you aren't afraid to flip around in your hand. You have one there.
