Looks like a creepy attempt at a love token. Looks like he attempted a hole with a dull spoon. I'd keep it.

At first, that mark is so small I thought it was some kind of grime or dirt. And the reverse makes it a perfect cheaper hole-filler.

I have to admit, I winced a little when I first saw that hole. Definitely a cheap hole filler.
