A friend bought a 3 coin set of Morgans from Littleton, and gave them to me as a gift. That gift was what began my love affair with the Morgan dollar. She said Littleton sold them as MS-60, but I'm a little skeptical about that grade. I've had them for nearly a year and a half, and, as long as I've had them, they haven't been out of the container they came in until I removed them to take the scan for the forum.
Do you think this coin will grade MS-60? Or, do you think my friend got skinned. She wouldn't tell me what she had to pay for them, but I know, from experience, that anything from Littleton isn't cheap.

That's why I dont buy from them. EVERYTHING is VERY expensive. And that's the truth!

Littleton isn't cheap, but they're known for relatively capable grading. If they say it's MS60 (considering the relatively small price differential over AU58), I'd be inclined to believe them.

I would say MS60 also with the New Orleans weak strike and a major hit below the point of the neck and one on the cheek, keeping it from going above MS60.Nice coin.
