Quote:anyone on here owns any of the REAL pricey coins, ie., an 1856 Flying Eagle cent, 1901S Quarter, 1893S dollar, etc. If anyone does, please post PICS! You missed mentioning the 1894S Liberty Head Dime. I have a roll of those. I keep them right next to my roll of 1913 Liberty Head Nickels. Ever look at pages 413 and up in the latest Red Book? List of the top 250 coin prices. And some as cheap as $356,500.00 + or - a few cents for postage and handling of course.

After seeing that copy of the 1856 Flying Eagle cent, today at a coin show I bought one of those. Oddly enough even the copies are not cheap. Cost me $10 for one of those. But still cheaper than the original. Also, got a roll of Mercury dimes for $2 each. All are from 1917 to 1929 or so it says on the tube.

I own an 1885 Seated half dollar (mintage 5,200) and an 1871-CC Seated Half (mintage 153,950) although Rusty Goe of Southgate Coins, and CC specialist, states there are 200-300 surviving examples known.

I recently bought and own my avatar. That's the actual one I own. A 1971 "No S" Proof Jefferson nickel Proof of which there were 1,655 minted to be found amidst the 3,220,733 proof sets sold by the Mint for 1971. It is my favorite series and favorite coin I own and the lowest mintage I own as well. Mine happens to be a nice cameo problem free example and is in an airtite and in the safe.

I own an 1876 20 cent, mintage a bit south of 15k. Also have a CT Tricentennial commemorative mintage 25,000 and a low grade 1916 SLQ.
