I though alot of these were damaged prior to being struck, but many have said thats not the case....

Theseare my most questionable coins that I'm trying not to believe are PMD's...

I'm just waiting for someone to say thats NOT a PMD though!! :)

aardspeed, I couldn't tell you on those. I still have some coins posted on here that I'm not sure about, and apparently no one else is sure about either. I guess just take really good pics and keep posting til you get answers. I think that's what I'm going to do. Thanks for posting on this thread though!!

Here's a Jefferson that got attacked with (I surmise) a pair of wire cutters:

Hmmm, probably not wire cutters but definitely was pinched or pressed with some type of tool. Wire cutters have sharp, not flat square edges. And by design, in order to have reached that far across the coin, it would have cut through the rim at least. Just sayin'

It looks like one side is sharp, and the other is flat. Is that right?

I took a closer look with my loupe to be sure, and that's correct, Jaymon74. The damage on the reverse is a V-groove while the damage on the obverse is a flat-bottomed channel.

Not to be confused with fat-bottomed girls, who of course make the rockin' world go round.

Sounds more like metal worker tool. Like for shaping metal ductwork.

Buffalo nickel. I got this from a coin shop I visited on Friday. It was in a jar of 15 cent dateless buffaloes and the guy just gave it to me.
