I'm surprised with the variety! This thread is a hit! I'm kind of contemplating if I should devise a new PMD just to post it! Would that be evil?

So long as the victim is a common date, low grade, fiat or low total value coin, why not?

I found this LMC in the middle of the street. As you might expect, it's pretty beat up. The cladding's off on the edges and you can see the zinc core. Until I took pictures I couldn't even make out the year.

I have one of those cursive, I was going to post it but I have to find it. Not as cool as the core showing though I dont think.
And Jaymon74 I thought I was going to be the only 'wierd one' that 2x2d PMDs lol. :D Now I dont feel so bad when I go find my collection and sort em out.

Schwanke, Lol I have more than a few PMDs put into 2x2s. I actually have a page in my album dedicated to them. Broseph, I'm thinking someone tried to make a pin out of it. If you look in the center it appears to have had something soldered onto it, that broke off later I'm guessing. Keep em coming!!

Two of my current favorites. Had them for a while. The yellow one I've had since childhood. Found it on the floor of a roller rink where it had apparently been run over probably hundreds of times, even flipped a few times. Obviously the floor was yellow. :D The other one I found a few months ago. Not sure what could have done that. I am assuming its PMD but maybe its not? I know the crimps line up so it was smashed in something that just did the edges a few times.

Schwanke, the 1990 quarter looks like it was taken out of a jewelry setting. Sometimes coins are held in place with prongs that could cause that sort of damage.

Almost looks like someone was trying to hollow out the Jeff and make a 2 headed coin.

The yellow quarter is almost certainly from a vending machine or arcade game. We used to use them in the pinball machines when the machine took someone's money. That way we could easily pull them out to use again. On slow nights we would use them ourselves to play a game or two.

I never thought about someone trying to make a two headed coin. I guess I figured most people would do a quarter that way. Hmm. You know how people look at a cloud and see shapes of animals, cars, etc? I see a horse with an elephant sitting on his head when I look at that yellow quarters obverse side. Anyone else see that? lol
