That's the price to the distributors. And they took all the restriction off the distributors as to what they can charge for them. But since the mintages will be higher I doubt the distributors will be able to charge a high mark up.

Quote: Where will be the best place to put an order in on these? TBA....whomever sells them with the lowest markup but this won't be known until the sales start and I'm sure the initial markup will be higher than it will be a few months from now...

The US Mint has provided pricing information on the upcoming Hot Springs 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin. The price is set at $279.95. The Mint cautions that as with all products containing precious metals, the price is subject to potential change. Yes ! http://mintnewsblog.blogspot.com/20...gs-5-oz.html

Quote: As with the prior year, the US Mint is imposing a premium of $9.75 per coin above the market value of the silver content for authorized purchasers. This group of eleven primary distributors is able to purchase bullion coins directly from the United States Mint. The bullion coins are then resold to other bullion dealers, coin dealers, and the public. Actually there is no limit to what a dealer can charge for the 2011's...a premium of $9.75/coin is charged to the AP's...it is in no way a limit to what they can charge the dealer who has no imposed limits on what they can charge the consumer.... N more of that buy direct from the AP stuff....these will go through regular channels like ASE's do.

APMEX had 3100 sets for sell today ! Quote:Please Note: The supply of this product is extremely limited. Therefore, in order to be fair to all customers who wish to purchase a set, APMEX has implemented a pre-registration and lottery type system to identify specific customers eligible to purchase the 2010 ATB coins from APMEX. Only the lottery winners will receive the email from APMEX with the offering and will be entitled to order one set of these coins. My guess is they will not sell out from the alert list by Friday, and at that time they'll open it up for everyone (which will sell out quick). Now that flippers know the price the over inflated pre-sales will start on the secondary market to get a head start selling before the mint starts to sell ,Avoiding alot of competition . When the secondary market becomes saturated with these it will create alot more competition selling them.Starting on April 28th ! Pre-sales have already started ! This one has a ship date of April 21st How can that be when the mint won't even start selling them until April the 28th ? http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-P-HOT-SPRI...em5198c451baThe 2010 numismatic issues will have mintages of 27,000 per design, include the "P" mint mark, and have an uncirculated finish created through a vapor blasting technique. The Hot Springs design is scheduled to go on sale April 28, 2011. The remaining designs will presumably go on sale separately, at later dates. I cant wait until the 28th with this kind of enthusiasm going on all over the nets This is the most coin fun I have had in a long time. Mintage 27k I will need at least four sets to complete a pcgs69 set worth big bucks

For current members PCGS will grade these 5 bullion coins for $187.95. Add in the $27 it cost to ship them to PCGS and your total will be $215 not bad ! I'm hopeing to complete a pcgs 69 set with a few 2010-p sets.

Has anyone heard what time the Mint is going to put this collectors coin up for sale on the 28th? I wonder if it will be Noon, like their other sales? I will be ready at 11:45 AM, phone & computer, maybe even 2 phones. I told myself no more shopping for coins, just wait for the Mint, dahhh, that lasted about 3 days! when I picked up the set from APMEX yesterday.

And yes, $215 was my total cost for each set of 5 PCGS certified. That price included round-trip insured shipping so it was $43/coin.
