That's the price to the distributors. And they took all the restriction off the distributors as to what they can charge for them. But since the mintages will be higher I doubt the distributors will be able to charge a high mark up.

TBA....whomever sells them with the lowest markup but this won't be known until the sales start and I'm sure the initial markup will be higher than it will be a few months from now...

The price is set at $279.95. The Mint cautions that as with all products containing precious metals, the price is subject to potential change.

APMEX had 3100 sets for sell today !



My guess is they will not sell out from the alert list by Friday, and at that time they'll open it up for everyone (which will sell out quick).

Now that flippers know the price the over inflated pre-sales will start on the secondary market to get a head start selling before the mint starts to sell ,Avoiding alot of competition . When the secondary market becomes saturated with these it will create alot more competition selling them.Starting on April 28th !

The 2010 numismatic issues will have mintages of 27,000 per design, include the "P" mint mark, and have an uncirculated finish created through a vapor blasting technique. The Hot Springs design is scheduled to go on sale April 28, 2011. The remaining designs will presumably go on sale separately, at later dates.

Has anyone heard what time the Mint is going to put this collectors coin up for sale on the 28th? I wonder if it will be Noon, like their other sales?

I will be ready at 11:45 AM, phone & computer, maybe even 2 phones.
I told myself no more shopping for coins, just wait for the Mint, dahhh, that lasted about 3 days! when I picked up the set from APMEX yesterday.

The voucher should be fine to use with the ATB 5oz coins but you should call to confirm. And yes, $215 was my total cost for each set of 5 PCGS certified. That price included round-trip insured shipping so it was $43/coin.
