Quote:
use Irfanview and usually shoot under fluroescent light.

I used color adjustment in IV, that's all.

Fluorescent lighting is bad for coin pix, and tends to hide stuff when at shows.

"Why is this year/years so hard?"
Could it be the wars, the monetary crises, and the the coin hoarding going on?

:::bump!:::
This thread is losing its energy--could we just go by decade from now on? We could spend years waiting for complete date runs.

I don't think people should feel compelled to buy a coin just to keep this thread going.
Let's just go with the coins we own, and not further complicate things.

I don't feel 'compelled' one bit. I'd be a bidder on that Danske coin if it were not overly cleaned and expen$ive to ship to the States.

Let's maintain the original goal of the thread.
We can turn you impatient kids loose in the yard with your K-mart metal detectors whilst the old fogies who have learned the art of patience are content to watch the local estate sales. A good half the pre-1900 coins I have posted in this thread have come from such sales. I did not own ANY of them before last October. Who knows what will show up in the next random boxlot?

If we are still on 1716 by the time the next coin show comes (October) then I will be tempted to make a purchase.

Tempted. I make no promises.
