Maybe everyone in the thread should chip in to help me buy a 1716 coin?

Sorry, everyone, it was just a suggestion. I will back away now and resume the wait.

I almost bought one of those just for the date. It was listed as a new york dime. Buy it now $35.

I don't know anything about that coin. Is it real? For that price I'd buy it just to own a coin that old.

The Stuvier looks quite real to me. But coming from the Netherlands it will take two weeks to arrive.

Oy, those coins were Swedish coins! At least the 1716 coin were in a pretty good condition. Was the winner one of us?

'Twas not I. Perhaps we'll see it here soon though. Save your cheers for when it actually appears to lift our show-car from the ditch where it is presently stuck. Meanwhile, as promised, here is another lump of 18th. century copper eye candy from a local auction boxlot. Country = Portugal; denomination = 10-something; size = 34 mm. Photos do not show the color very accurately.

The top one with a bit less orange and contrast, yeah that would be a whole lot closer. I use Irfanview and usually shoot under fluroescent light. This is tabletop coin photography here. And lazy editing.
