Anything from 1799 is kind of hard to get your hands on but you did not elaborate what coin you have so it would be very hard to put any kind of price on the coin in question. Also grade plays an important factor so a photo would be more than helpful! One also must keep in mind counterfeits of many U.S. classics are very common place these days. Can you tell us more or provide a picture?

Not rare to us unless you provide more infomation of what you got there. If you got a counterfeit, well it's just worth it's metal value. Else it would be more interesting.
