1873 Dime

Hi I am looking for info on a coin I got in my change at mcdonalds. It looks like a 1873 dime on the front but the back is different their are three letters b, w, c sort of intwined together. can any one tell me about it thank you mbeaudin

Hi mbeaudin and welcome to the forum! This is a pretty friendly place and just loaded with knowledge and experience.

I suspect you have a token of some sort, but we'd need to see a picture to make a better determination. Any chance you can post an image?

An 1873 dated dime would be a seated liberty. I don't recognize the letters on the reverse. Can you post a picture? Seated dimes say "one dime" on the reverse. Welcome to the forum! Mike

Have to see a pic, but it is most likely a love token, very common on Seated dimes. If you have a wife or girlfriend with the initials BWC or some combination, it might make a nice gift.
